Ann Arbor-Saline Road construction begins April 11

Apr 10, 2019 | Construction

Beginning Thursday, April 11, 2019, northbound traffic on Ann Arbor-Saline Road will be narrowed to one lane from Oakbrook Drive to Village Oaks Court. Southbound traffic will be narrowed to one lane from Village Oaks Court to Oakbrook Drive. These closures are to accommodate storm sewer, sidewalk and curb work.

Pedestrian traffic will be maintained on east side of the road.

The project is estimated to complete sometime in May. I will update this post when I find out more details.

Description of Work:

D. N. Higgins Inc., the contractor working for the City of Ann Arbor, will be installing the new storm sewer starting in the area south of Village Oaks and north of Chaucer Court, heading easterly to Ann Arbor Saline Road, and then along the road south to Malletts Creek. Work will also include replacement of any parts of sidewalks and curb that are removed as part of this process and final restoration of all disturbed areas.

More information can be found on the city’s Road and Lane Closures webpage:
