Churchill Downs Stormwater Basin
Construction Site Tour
Wednesday July 20, 2022 5:00 PM
Meet at entrance off of Steeplechase Drive
We will be holding a tour of the construction site on July 20 at 5PM. Let’s meet at the Steeplechase entrance and make our way in from there. We’ll walk around the excavation, the pipe network that brings water to and from the park, the old creek channel, the new creek channel, the outlet, the landscaping plan and pathway, and we’ll check out whatever equipment may be on site at the time.
While an RSVP would be appreciated, you can just show up if that’s your style. We have about 7-10 people who have already expressed interest, so thank you for letting me know.
Construction activity will be done by 5, but please wear boots of some kind and be prepared to walk on loose, uneven ground.
