City of Ann Arbor 2020 Street Resurfacing Project
Granger Avenue from South State Street to Packard Street
Wednesday, Aug. 19, at 7 a.m.– Saturday, Oct. 3, at 8 p.m.
Location and Limits of Affected Area:
Granger Avenue from South State Street to Packard Street.
Description of Work:
The contractor, Cadillac Asphalt, and subcontractors will be performing road construction as part of the 2020 street resurfacing project. Construction activities involve full depth pavement and base removal and replacement; removing and replacing the concrete curb and gutter; concrete driveway approach work; concrete sidewalk and sidewalk ramp work; and repaving of the roadway. Construction will occur between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
Temporary Traffic Control Plan:
Effective immediately, Granger Avenue is closed to through traffic in both directions between South State Street and Packard Street. During this closure, traffic will be detoured via Packard Street, East Stadium Boulevard, South Industrial Highway, Stimson Street, and South State Street. The contractor will maintain one-way local traffic in the eastbound direction on Granger Avenue between South State Street and Packard Street. Work is expected to be completed by Saturday, Oct. 3, 2020, weather permitting.

During construction, the contractor will maintain pedestrian traffic and detour it as required.
To maintain the safety of all, please reduce speeds and drive cautiously through the work zone.
