The following information was emailed by the City on May 28th:
The contractor will primarily focus on installing new water main in E. Hoover Avenue both east and west side of railroad track this week; though other work will occur along portions of Hoover.
Anticipated watermain shutdowns are as follows (these may change based on construction progress):
- If things go as planned today and Wednesday, a temporary watermain shutdown will be scheduled for either Thursday, May 30th or Friday, May 31st between 9am-4pm and affect users connected to water on Greene Street south of E. Hoover Avenue. Door hangers will be distributed in advance of any shutdowns and will provide more specific details and contact information.
- We are anticipating a temporary watermain shutdown for next week in the area of the State Street & Hoover Ave intersection. Door hangers will be distributed in advance of any shutdowns and will provide more specific details and contact information.
The Temporary Traffic Control Plan described in the Construction Notice still applies. We are working towards opening the north and south Greene Street approaches to the Greene/Hoover intersection to local traffic by next week (June 3rd). Stay tuned for further updates.
Please note that on-street parking is still restricted on portions of E. Davis, Brown, Greene, Division, Mary, and Sybil to facilitate construction and traffic circulation. No Parking signs are posted in those affected road sections.
Mail should continue to be delivered throughout the duration of the project. As well, trash pickup will continue as scheduled. Please let us know if you experience disruptions on either.
