Hoover/Greene/Hill Project Update Oct 16th

Oct 18, 2019 | Construction

The following update was emailed on Oct 16th, 2019 by Chris Wall, Project Manager for the City of Ann Arbor. For any questions or concerns with this project (or to be added to his email list of construction updates), he can be contacted at 734-794-6410 ext 43661 or by email at cwall@a2gov.org

The Main Street/Hoover Avenue intersection water main and road paving work was completed this past week and the road opened to traffic. The following work by the contractor is on-going this week (which could change based on construction progress/weather):

  • Utility and road work on Hill Street between Brown Street and Fifth Avenue and on Greene Street between Davis Street and Hill Street.
  • Additional restoration work on sidewalks along Hoover between Greene and State.

There are no anticipated water service shutdowns scheduled this week. We do expect to conduct two planned water service shutdowns next week; expect an email on this. Also, we do want to reiterate the orange door hanger message recommending that you run the cold water faucets for several minutes to clear the water after each shutdown.

The Hill Street (between Brown and Fifth), Greene Street (between Hill and Hoover), and Fifth Avenue (at Hill) closures remain in effect. The suggested detour route is Madison to Main, to Hoover, to Division.
