Hoover/Greene Traffic Control Plan (Sept 3rd to 6th)

As part of the Hoover/Greene/Hill Improvement project, there will be a temporary traffic control plan on Hoover Avenue and Green Street from Tuesday, Sept 3 through Friday, Sept 6, 2019.

Notice of Temporary Traffic Control Plan:

Hoover, Greene and Hill Improvement Project

Tuesday, Sept. 3 at 9 AM – Friday, Sept. 6 at 4 PM

Location and Limits of Affected Area:

Hoover Avenue from Main Street to State Street. Greene Street from Hoover Avenue to north of Kipke Drive.

Description of Work:

The city’s contractor, E. T. MacKenzie, and subcontractors will be paving the top course on Hoover Avenue and Greene Street (Hoover to Kipke) as part of the Hoover, Greene and Hill Improvement Project. Construction activities involve manhole adjustments, road preparation, and placement of new pavement. 

Temporary Traffic Control Plan:

Beginning Tuesday, Sept. 3, local traffic will have access to all roads and properties. The road closures on Hoover Avenue between Main Street and State Street, and Greene Street between Hoover Avenue and north of Kipke Drive will be reinstalled to perform final paving.

Traffic intending to travel eastbound on Hoover Avenue will be detoured on Main Street to Hill Street to Packard Street to State Street.

Traffic intending to travel westbound on Hoover Avenue will be detoured on State Street to Packard Street to Hill Street to Main Street.

Traffic intending to travel on Greene Street will be detoured on Keech Avenue to Main Street to Hill Street.

To maintain the safety of all, please reduce speeds and drive cautiously through the detour route. We thank you in advance for your patience.
