ITC State-Pioneer Transmission Line Project Update June 10th

ITC Michigan, through its ITC Transmission subsidiary, is constructing approximately three miles of 120,000 volt (120kV) double-circuit transmission line to connect the State and Pioneer substations. This project supports electric reliability and increases capacity in the Ann Arbor area. Construction began in late 2018 and will take approximately eight months.

Week of June 10:

Matting work:

  • north of E. Eisenhower Parkway
  • north of Ann Arbor Public Schools building between Ann Arbor Railroad and S. State Street

Foundations will be placed:

  • north of Eisenhower Parkway
  • south of EB I-94
  • north of Ann Arbor Public Schools building between Ann Arbor Railroad and S. State Street

Structure framing/installation in areas listed above

Week of June 17:

All matting completed

Foundations will be placed:

  • south of EB I-94 to north of E. Ellsworth Rd.
  • further north of Eisenhower Parkway between Boardwalk Drive and Ann Arbor Railroad
  • north of Ann Arbor Public Schools building between Ann Arbor Railroad and S. State Street

Structure framing/installation work in areas listed above

Week of June 24:

All matting completed

Foundations complete

Structure framing/installation begins

Potential road closure of Eisenhower
