ITC State-Pioneer Transmission Line Project Update Sep 16th

ITC Michigan, through its ITC Transmission subsidiary, is constructing approximately three miles of 120,000 volt (120kV) double-circuit transmission line to connect the State and Pioneer substations. This project supports electric reliability and increases capacity in the Ann Arbor area. Construction began in late 2018 and will take approximately eight months.

ITC has given me the following updates for Sept 2019:

Week of September 16:

  • Remove matting work at structure north of North of Ann Arbor Public Schools building
  • No foundation work
  • No wire pulling work

Week of September 23:

  • Miscellaneous clean-up, starting restoration work
  • No foundation work
  • No wire pulling work

Week of September 30:

  • Miscellaneous clean-up, starting restoration work
  • No foundation work
  • No wire pulling work
