This week postcards were mailed to local residents about a proposed development for the block surrounded by S. State, Henry, White, and Stimson Streets, announcing a public meeting scheduled for September 21, 2022. I have included scans of the postcard below.

According to the postcard, the property owner is proposing to combine the parcels of the block surrounded by S. State, Henry, White, and Stimson Streets. The proposed development includes approximately 250 dwelling units as a mix of studio, 1, and 2 bedroom units, as well as commercial office, retail, and outdoor green roof accessible to the community. The project requests a rezoning to C1 A/R with conditions of height limit, required active open space, and parking maximums.

Proposed Site Plan + Rezoning Review

In accordance with the City of Ann Arbor’s Citizen Participation Ordinance, you are being notified that a proposal for the block surrounded by S. State, Henry, White, and Stimson Streets will be submitted to City Planning Department soon for consideration. Details about a citizen participation meeting design for you to learn about this project are described on the opposite side of this card.

CITIZEN PARTICIPATION MEETING

Postcards are being sent to all property owners within 1,000 ft of the site to give notice that development petitions will be submitted to the City of Ann Arbor on or about October 17, 2022 and share an invitation to a citizen participation meeting for an opportunity to review plans, ask questions, and provide comments that will be considered by the developer in finalizing plans and be incorporated into a report for the City Planning Commission.
