Today (April 5, 2022) a Ward 4 resident gave me a postcard that was sent to property owners within 500 feet of “The George” at 2502 Packard Street. The mailer states that a development petition has been filed with the City to convert vacant retail space into 42 one bedroom residential units.
This development petition will be reviewed by the Planning Commision, and their review will include a public hearing. According to the mailer, notice of this public hearing will be mailed to residents within 300 feet of the project. If you would like to be notified if this project is placed on a City Planning Commission agenda, please contact the City of Ann Arbor Planning Services at 732-794-6265 or planning@a2gov.org.
Residents may submit questions and comments to the developer, which will be included in the final application to the City.
For more information about this development petition, you can search the City’s eTrackit project website for the address “2502 Packard”. From the results, click on the link for “SP22-008” (eTrackit does not allow direct links to projects):

As I find out more about this project (including any public hearings), I will post updates here on my website.
Below is the text of the mailer, as well as scans of the original postcard.
