Notice of Temporary Traffic Control Plan:
Hoover Avenue, Greene Street and Hill Street Improvement Project
Monday, May 6 at 9 a.m.–Thursday, May 30 at 7 p.m.
Location and Limits of Affected Area:
Hoover Avenue from Greene Street to State Street.
Description of Work:
The city’s contractor, E. T. MacKenzie, and subcontractors, will be performing utility, road and sidewalk work as part of the Hoover, Greene and Hill Improvement Project. Construction activities involve pavement removals to install water main and storm sewer improvements, then placement of new pavement and related, impacted sidewalk areas.
Temporary Traffic Control Plan:
Beginning Monday, May 6, the intersection of Greene Street and Hoover Avenue will be closed in all directions. Hoover Avenue will be closed between Greene Street to the west side of Division Street. Hoover Avenue will also be closed to westbound traffic Division Street to State Street.
Traffic intending to travel eastbound on Hoover Avenue, or to use the Greene and Hoover intersection, will be detoured on Main Street to Hill Street to Division Street.
Traffic intending to travel westbound on Hoover Avenue will be detoured on State Street to Hill Street to Main Street.
To maintain the safety of all, please reduce speeds and drive cautiously through the detour route. We thank you in advance for your patience.
